Han was born and raised in Malaysia. He graduated from Liberty University in 2006 with a degree in Broadcast Communications.

In 2005, Han won the annual scholarship from the Virginia Associated Press Broadcasters Association. In 2006 he won a national award from the National Religious Broadcasters Association for the best student produced television commercial.

His work also led directly to WWMC Lynchburg (Liberty University’s student operated radio station) being named by the National Religious Broadcasters as one of the top Christian radio stations in the country. [Note that this is out of ALL stations, not just student stations.]
