Grisson came to Village Baptist Church in October 2005 following his retirement from the "Fayettevile Observer" where he had worked for 45 years. He supervises the maintenance and upkeep of the entire church plant including grounds and outbuildings.

He and his wife, Faye, have been married for 49 years. Their son, Mark, is no longer living, but they have 2 granddaughters, Hannah and Madeleine. Grisson was born and raised in Wade, NC.
