Firewood Ministry

The Men's Ministry has volunteered for years in cutting and splitting firewood for families that cannot afford to heat their homes with gas or electricity. One short morning of hard work each year has provided warmth for the winter to a number of less fortunate members of our community.

Handyman Ministry

A group of men and women of our church volunteer their free time to do small repairs and yard work for members and prospects of Village Baptist Church. The ministry was established to help older members that can't do the work themselves or are on a fixed income and can't afford to pay the labor. More recently, we have helped spouses of deployed soldiers as well.

Love Lunches

On the third Thursday of each month, volunteers from Village Baptist Church serve lunch from 11:20 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the SAlvation Army in downtown Fayetteville. This ministry is always looking for new volunteers (especially men). Meal preparation is not involved, just serving plates.
